Rylee's Special Day

Yesterday Ray was able to give Rylee a name and a blessing. It was a simple, but special time. Most of our family was not able to be there for the blessing, but it was ok. We still had Trevor (awesome bro-in-law) and Ray's conselors in the Elder's Quorum stand in the circle. Thanks to everyone for all your love and support!

After church, Kristi and Kathryn (my sis-in-laws) brought over birthday cake and ice cream to celebrate my birthday coming on Tuesday. Kristi and I joke with each other that we have to take care of each other on our birthdays because our husbands wouldn't get any thing done. So, we make the cakes for each other and kind of put together a small party.

But I'm super excited for this coming week because me and the kids are going to Idaho to visit my family!!! Ray is going on a trip with a group of kids from school to Havasupai (in the Grand Canyon) and will be gone Wednesday through Sunday and I really didn't want to be alone and with the kids for that long so, what a great excuse to go on a trip!! It will be intersting traveling with 3 kids by myself, but it should be ok. The only problem I really foresee is that Logan and Chase's car seats are right next to each other and they have a tendancy to fight. Could be interesting, we'll see....

My dear, precious Rylee. I can't believe she'll be 5 weeks old tomorrow!!

We got a toddler bed for Chase and so I sanded it down and repainted it. Turned out pretty cute I think! We left it in the living room the night we put it together and so the boys were watching Saturday morning cartoons together. Love these two!!
Anyways, Chase has done super good with the new bed. The longest we've had to keep putting back in was about a 1/2 hour. Other than that he tries to get out about one time and that's it. Such a difference compared to Logan who would fight us for like 2 hours to go to sleep in it.

Grandma Jolley sent Easter presents with new shirts and candy for the boys. Logan quite enjoyed the ring pops. Thanks Grandma!

Chase had a pudding cup after lunch the other day. Watching him eat it was quite entertaining.
The mess on the other hand was not so fun to clean. Oh well, he had fun with it!
Well, things around here have a sort of controlled chaos. We're all doing good, just super busy trying to keep up with everything. Here's a "quick" update on everyone.
Poor Ray is being pulled about 10 different directions and is doing is best to please everyone. Between teaching his classes, club advisor, trying to landscape our yard, Elders Quorum President, and being a good dad, there just isn't enough of him to go around.
Logan has started this new thing chewing on his fingers. He's never done this before and I'm not entirely sure why he's doing it. He says that his teeth hurt but the dentist couldn't find anything wrong, so we don't know if it's just a "phase", if his allergies are making his sinuses hurt down into his teeth, or something else going on. It's just weird that he's doing this, yesterday he was even biting his arm leaving teeth marks as he was watching a movie. Don't know, hope it stops soon.
As for Chase, from above you can see that he's graduated to a toddler bed and doing awesome with it. He still is constantly on the run getting into nonstop trouble. He's starting to talk a lot and loves to sing songs and rhymes with me. He's also starting to express interest in the potty. He comes up to me and says "potty" and pulls me to the bathroom. He hasn't actually done anything in the toilet yet, but he likes to sit there. Maybe he'll potty train faster and easier than Logan. Here's to hoping!!
And Rylee. I thoroughly enjoy this little girl!! She's starting to smile more and more and they are the custest little smiles! She's starting to sleep through the night so good too. We can go about 6 hours at night so I can get some decent sleep. At her 1 month appt last week her weight was up to 8 lbs 5 oz and was 20 inches long. She's just a tiny little thing, but so adorable and sweet.
Other than that, we're just trucking right along and needing more hours in the day, preferably more hours while the kids are sleeping so we can get more accomplished!!
